Tomi Piskunen (50) has been appointed as Vice President of Speed Oy from 9th of January 2023.
Tomi Piskunen has a vast experience in logistics having built his career of three decades in various positions in the logistic industry in companies such as DHL and Matkahuolto. For the past eight years, he worked in Containerships Ltd Oy as a Land Operations Manager of Finland. He took part in planning and improving container transports in Europe both in the mainland and in the UK. Furthermore, he was in charge of research and development of new container transport methods (HCT-trucks) and served as a superior of drivers.
As the Vice President of Speed Oy, Piskunen will ensure the high standards of Speed Oy and its customers are met by maintaining the high quality of transport coordination, the smooth running of all operational functions and by securing adequate resources for the container trucking fleet in all of Finland.
Tuomo Vallas will shift his focus towards research and development of carbon neutral solutions (electric, hydrogen or others) for container transport.
